Escape Velocity
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
My submission for the Godot Wild Jam #20.
The year is 2972. Earth has been ravaged leaving it dying and unable to sustain humanity any longer. At Earth's end, humanity must look to the stars for a new beginning.
Humanity's only hope rests in the Ark Program. An initiative to send out specially trained pilots to scan and identify potential planets for humanity's migration, you will take on the role of these pilots. Strive to journey as far as you can to give yourself the best chance of finding a suitable new home for humanity amongst the stars.
Be careful though as your ship's weapons are slow to charge and you cannot rely on them alone to avoid the hazardous asteroids that litters the void, you will also need to look to your piloting skills to avoid the obstacles in your path. Be warned, once you lose the last of your sensors, you will be forced to return back to Earth.
Massive thank you to JohnGabrielUK for his work on the graphics for the game and to Icky for composing the music!
